A standout multi-sport athlete from Grenada High School, Woods earned statewide and national recognition for his athletic achievements. He was selected to Mississippi's prestigious Dandy Dozen and earned All-American honors in football. On the track, he became a state champion in the hurdles, set school records in the 110-meter hurdles and 330-meter hurdles, and helped establish a tradition of competitive excellence.

His accomplishments earned him a full football scholarship to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where he competed for the Rebels on the football team and also ran track for Ole Miss.

Today, Coach Woods brings that same competitive spirit, discipline, and commitment to excellence to Stride Nation Elite. His coaching philosophy emphasizes preparation, accountability, confidence, character development, and leadership. Through structured training and mentorship, he is dedicated to helping young athletes maximize their potential both on and off the track.

Under his leadership, Stride Nation Elite strives to create an environment where athletes learn the value of hard work, perseverance, teamwork, and leadership while competing at the highest levels of youth track and field.

Primary contact for Stride Nation Elite families

The Director of Operations serves as the primary contact for Stride Nation Elite. This role oversees athlete registration, parent communication, scheduling, team logistics, compliance, and day-to-day administrative operations.

The director plays a vital role in ensuring that athletes and families have a positive experience throughout the season by coordinating organizational processes, managing team communications, supporting club activities, and helping maintain a high standard of professionalism across the organization.
